Who has been your mentor?
My dad. He was also a teacher. My dad taught Voc Ag for 33 years. I also had an outstanding music teacher when I was in Jr. High that really taught me to play my clarinet well.
If you could be any animal, what would it be and why?
Race horse. It would be fun to compete with the other race horses.
Who is one famous person you would like to meet?
Michael W. Smith---a Christian Gospel Singer. I like a lot of his music.
What is your favorite restaurant?
Burger King
What are a few of your pet peeves?
Students who ask me where we are starting in the music when I just got done telling them.
What is your hidden talent?
Sewing
If you could leave behind one piece of advice, what would it be?
Every time you say to yourself-“Gee I wish that was me getting that award,” make yourself work that much harder.
What was your favorite cartoon growing up?
Bugs Bunny
What is your biggest fear?
Losing any of my family members to a wrongful death. Getting cancer.
What is your favorite food and drink?
Shrimp and Diet Free Coke.
What is your favorite T.V. show?
America’s Got Talent, lot of talented people have something to do with music.
Where would you go, if you could go back in time and why?
Back in college at UNL in the Marching Band. I have so many fond memories of friends, football games, bowl trips, and just plain fun we had in the marching band.
What is your most memorable moment at Humphrey Public School?
District Music Contest. The music department received 2-I ratings, 11-II ratings, and 5-III ratings. Also when all 8 of the Humphrey High Band members who tried out for the Conference Honor Band made the Conference Honor Band.
